Mr Clendenin departed this life on Wednesday, December 17 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. He was a native of Wayne County, born May 16, 1930 and a son of the late Carmack and Lura Conway Clendenin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Mack Clendenin and Jim Clendenin. Mr Clendenin served his country in the United States Navy for several years, was a Insurance Agent and lived in Grand Turks Islands for 10 years in the motel and restaurant business. He attended UNA for several years and was a former Collinwood City Commissioner. Survivors include sister Donna Rich and husband J W of Collinwood; nieces and nephews; and beloved-best friend of many years Peggy Brewer of Collinwood.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 19, V F W Post 4969, a life member of the DAV Chapter 22 and a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. He attended Columbia Central High School and Columbia Baptist College. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Barbara Gail Moore of Jonesboro, GA; one son, Tommy Cook of Bend, Oregon; two sisters, Miss Kathleen Cook and Mrs Raymond Walters both of Columbia; five grandchiildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Wayne County, a son of Walter Jand and Mora Pennington Crews. He was a retired employee of of the State Highway Department. Ernest Warrington, 66 Rt 1, Lutts, Tenn; died Thursday, from injuries sustained in a farm accident Thursday afternoon. Funeral services were held today at 3 pm at the Middle Tennessee Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro.
